Join fellow L.U.S.T'ies for 5 and a half days of skiing and boarding up at Mount Hotham. We depart from La Trobe (Bundoora) very early Sunday morning for the journey up the mountain, and arrive at Mount Hotham in the afternoon for a cruise around the slopes.
There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained after the lifts stop turning. Monday and Wednesday nights are the big-themed party nights. Every year LUSTies take over The General Store (The Genny) to show the mountain what we’re made of. With shows from the notorious DJ Eddy, you’ll be sure to be dancing the night away and having a great time.
This trip is possibly the most fun you will have whilst at uni, you’ll get to spend 5.5 days being completely carefree with some of the best people you could meet.
Disclaimer: We do not suggest this trip to our first time skiers and boarders. This is not because we dont want you to come, we are just aware that most attendees will be skiing with those at their own ability and we dont want you to feel left behind. If you are a beginner who has skied/boarded before and you can get down a green run that is fine! However, for our first time snowboaders and skiers we recommend the Beginners Trip - you'll have a lot more support with learning the sport, and much more fun whilst you learn. Snow-sports are high risk, and we endure to make our trips safe and accessible for all our members.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
To bring trip costs down and give members more flexibility, purchasing a trip ticket WILL NOT include a lift pass.
An epic pass is recommended for purchase as this will be paid off if you ski or board every day on the trip. Currently the pass costs $1,099 as of 17/03/2024. Depending on Hotham lift ticket day rates this year 5*~$185 comes to $925. If you get in another couple days at Hotham you will definitely make your money back on an Epic Australia Pass. Alternatively, you will need to purchase daily lift passes for an Adult (18-64 Years) ticket and book for between MONDAY 14th July to FRIDAY 19th July. You can choose to book all 5 days or pick and choose your days according to your wishes. Please note if you book all 5 days you will be able to hit the slopes from 3pm on Sunday.
You are also free to book your own lessons on any days.
Epic Pass Holders need not worry as lift tickets are covered.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
• There is a 48 hour grace period for cancellations, where a full refund including the deposit is available.
• Beyond this 48 hour period, deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.
• In the event of a cancellation the participant must email committee@lust.org.au immediately to advise the committee. Please include a reason for cancellation in your email.
• Where a cancellation is advised more than 28 days prior to booking, the participant shall receive a partial refund excluding the deposit paid.
• Where a cancellation is advised less than 28 days prior to departure, the participant shall receive a partial refund excluding the deposit paid and any costs reasonably expended by La Trobe University Snowsports Team.
• Where a cancellation is advised less than 3 days prior to departure and all vacancies are not filled by other participants, the participant will forfeit their entire payment.
• Cancellation after commencement will result in forfeit of entire payment and participant may not be credited for components not used.
